Friday night at 6:23

Greetings to all y'all. Its may, 6:23 in the evening on a friday night. It's raining. Thats so odd for lodi. It isn't suppose to rain after April. I am sitting here at my kitchen table drinking some peach ice tea, looking out the front window and taking a break from all the cooking and preparing I just did. Its happening folks. Poker night, tonight. This is exciting. We are all going to katy's and going to eat, enjoy each others company and then banter with each other about who will be tonight's winner. Sigh. Woodward, we miss you playing poker with us, come home soon!

I went shopping today. Nothing too unusal for me, I often go out and do some shopping on Friday's since its my day off... thats right folks, I took the day off today (insert round of applause here). You know, Stockton (the city just south of here) has more stores than Lodi has and it has 2 malls right next to each other... if you ask me thats just dumb... but you didn't ask me so.... anyway I don't mind going to stockton sometimes because it brings me into a much mroe diverse area. But sometimes I just don't handle it well. It's dirty, people are rude, parking is bad, and customer service generally stinks. Can I tell you another frustrating thing about my day? yes? Good. I went specifically for khaki casual cargo capris or something like that. I found some cute ones at old navy and another store... wouldn't you know that they were out of my size in both stores... So I tried to compromise and go for bremuda shorts... HA. Have you seen bremuda shorts on a short person... some of them are actually capris. Anyway moral of the story is that everything I tried on was either ugly or the wrong size. Hey we all have to have those shopping days right?

So this is a busy weekend! Tonight- Poker. Tomorrow morning I drive to Livermore for a meeting and then come back and go to a River Cats baseball game with Katy (free tickets and parking.... the perks of becoming friends with the person you work with on a baseball clinic... thank you Kevin) then at 2AM katy and I are walking for an hour for Relay for Life. Sunday morning is church, sunday school, church, then at 1:15 we are going to a servant event in Stockton, home, sunday night line up. SLEEP! Whew. Breathe. Monday. Office.

I am in the mood to get some more things done around the house. It would help if my roomie and I were ever home at the same time. I want to finish the yard, her and her boyfriend are working on it tomorrow so that should help... but I also really can't wait to paint and decorate and get rid of stuff in the family room and dining room. I am starting to get a lot of visions for it.... I should get on it while there are still visions and motivation.

Well I am so just rambling right now so its off to load my car with food and corona and head off to Katy's.
