Hello out there in blogger land. Congrats to Kendra and Brian who will be married exactly 6 months from today!! yea!

Man has it been a crazy couple of weeks. Vacation Bible School was last week and it was a blast! VIVA! We had almost 90 kids each day which is about 30 more than we had last year! Praise the Lord! It was so amazing to see so many kids have such a great time praising the Lord and learning about how Jesus is our friend, helper, life, savior and leader! One little girl who had been taking private swim lessons for 3 years and had not once gotten in the water (thats a patient mom for you) was talking to her mom about what she learnd in VBS. They were talking about one of the songs we were singing that says "with Jesus I am always brave and I am not afraid"and she went to swim lessons that day and jumped right into the pool. She told her mommy that "Jesus takes her afraids away" WOW! That's incredible!

So Friday when that was over I got a new hair cut... love it. I will put a picture on here when I get one... later that night we had a prayer time for the group of adults and high school students going to New Orleans to work! It was very awesome and they left Saturday at 3AM and are having a great time... they are seeing devestation first hand and for those of you who think that New Orleans is up and running again, it really isn't. They are still gutting houses and trying to make it livable again. From what I hear the stories that our group is hearing is just absolutly incredible.

It's been hot here.. .like hot hot hot! On Monday I think it got to 105. Thats um. HOT! So anyway I went and hung out with a family from church on Saturday and played with their 10 yellow lab puppies which was a blast! I named one of them Gus, I call him Gus-Gus.. You have to get the little voice like Jack on Cinderelly does.. .gus gus. try it ... go ahead...
This week has gone fast. Monday I treated myself to booking a vacation to Washington!!!! I am going to go see my dear sis and bro and hang out with them for a week. I am calling it my sanity vacation and I can't wait. Before that comes though, we have a district junior high youth gathering that I am on the planning committee for and need to crack the whip on a few things for it.

All in all, life is good, its fast, it just keeps going and I keep living it! :) OH OH... Tomorrow 30 mile bike ride... mmm can't wait.

I have tried to load a picture.. it won't work... when I get it working you will get a picture... until then... use your imagination of what picture may be on here... you never know... costume? dressed fancy? 90 kids? nothing pertaining to the blog? Who knows! :)

a new entry

Ok, so there has been a request by a dear friend for a new entry... she dreamt about my blog last night... is that wierd or what? Yes it is, but it makes me feel a bit special! :) So this one is for you.

What a busy week! I am in the last few days of preparation for VBS... Holy cow. Its crazy, its great, I am stressed and overwhelmed and therefore did not work on it all today. Today was pastoral canidate lunch number 1. We are in the process of meeting three pastors and we should be extending a call to one of them. We met one last sunday and he was great, today we met another one and his wife. Tomorrow night we have a social thing with them and then spend Sunday between services with them. Wednesday the guy who was here last sunday will be back to meet with the staff (reminder vbs is going on) and then on Thursday we meet another one and his wife and and have lunch with them and then have an ice cream social thursday night. There is also a funeral on Monday afternoon which means that All the decorations I put up tomorrow will likely have to be taken down as soon as vbs is over and then put back up monday night before vbs on tuesday. Friday I am getting my hair done and I think I have a new hair lady and I have insisted on going OUT friday night and partaking of a few adult beverages... I think I will be due! :)

I had my mri yesterday. The results were suppose to go to my doctor today... I hope to hear from them early next week. My appointment isn't til August, but surely I will get to hear the results prior too... if not I will go in and demand that I know, let's be real... I can't wait that long.

I went and saw the movie The Breakup tonight with Katy. I'm not going to lie... it was depressing. I think I learned some things from it, but I also left speechless... which is unusual. It was almost too realistic. I think it shows the need for honest and open communication... not the let's play games with this persons heart crap.

I found a new coffee place. I love starbucks don't get me wrong. But it started to feel very chainy to me. This one isn't exactly comfy, but the people are nice and the drinks are awesome. They also serve alcohol at night now. Kind of an intersting twist if you ask me. I am kind of excited about it... I thought I was getting over my coffee addiction... honestly though I will be getting a large caffeine-y drink every day next week to give me a great boost for vbs--and pastoral visits! CHEERS!

Ok I need to get up and decorate for our Fiesta... I know this is a boring blog... but hey-- at least it is a new one!

I just downloaded this picture from our staff end of the year get together. Even though its kind of a horrible picture of Grace and I... I think its fun. Leslie had all the staff find a hat to put on as we went through the dinner line. Some of us that have A.D.D. changed hats throughout the meal. Good times! 

slept through the night

well I slept through the night and am feeling pretty good this morning. I am not going to get too excited because this is how I felt yesterday morning. I am trying to get some gatorade in me while I feel good. well I am out. thanks for continued prayers.

prayers

hi all,
sorry i have been absent for a while. i just want to ask for your prayers right now. I am sick. I don't know what is going on but I know I am sick and the doctors are confused as well. I went into urgent care last sunday thinking I had appendicis or an ovarian cyst that burst. they sent me home with vicadin. I went to the doc on tuesday. She sent me over to get a CT scan immediately. I was admitted to the hospital for observation but they sent me home the next day. They decided not to do surgery because I didn't have the normal signs of appendicitis.

I was very sick all day yesterday and woke up feeling better this morning. I went to the surgeons office today and he decided I am a mystery and we would wait to see if my body fought whatever this is off on its own. I am sick again tonight and frustrated. I don't know what to do. The surgeon on call won't return his pages for me to ask him. some people think that I have the flu along with this and its unrelated. I don't know what it is, but they need to figure it out soon because I can't go on feeling like this much longer.

Please just pray for my patience and health and for wisdom for the doctors.
