Ok so yesterday was v-day. Now I haven't been the biggest fan of this holiday for quite a few years now but I decided that this year should be different. Still not being very zealous about it I made some changes.
My mom found out that I wore black on vday one year... she doesn't like that. So the big question in her mind is "what did mel where for vday?" I have witnesses and pictures that I had a pink shirt on and my pink choco's.... what is this world coming to some may ask.
I also decided its more about showing love to people and letting them know you care for them. With that in mind I got up early and made the staff heart shaped pancakes and eggs and breakfast goodies. It was nice to let people know that I cared for them and not think that the holiday has to be all about romance and all that stuff... I spent the day with a bunch of DCE's in Livermore which was a blast as always.
Last night Katy and Grace and I decided that we should hang out together. We made ourselves a fantastic dinner topped off with a Bud and watched American Idol, we then had some Asti (mmmm) and made our own chocolate covered strawberries...
I liked this way of celebrating, yeah yeah we had our moments and real funny comments (about the holiday, guys, lack there of, etc. etc.) I still may not be the biggest fan of it, but its all in the attitude... I guess thats kind of true for everyday living too huh?
