So I promised my girls if they did really well at practice yesterday that I would call my hairdresser and have her put bright red highlights in my hair for the competition this weekend... welll....

Hey Melissa, I can't believe that you are following in my footsteps and coaching those little cheerleaders. I can remember a certain little Mel when she was my little cheerleader at GC. Those were the days, huh? Not really, probably but I had to laugh when your mom showed me your blog with your red streak! I would have looked pretty silly with blue and gold streaks. Maybe that was why I couldn't get some of those girls to cooperate with us! Or maybe I just wasn't as daring as you girls are. Did I hear something about a nose ring? Good luck with the competition.
